About the Reiteralm Bergbahnen

On 21st March, 1971, 92 mainly local partners came together to found the company.

On 21st December, 1971, the Ministry of Transport issued Reiteralm’s first licenses, authorising the operation of the Pichl double chairlift and Reiteralm II draglift.

TODAY Reiteralm is home to Styria’s most efficient 8-seater gondola and the first gondola with heated leather seats.

Slowly but surely, over the years, the ski area expanded. But even from the very beginning, visitors enjoyed long, wide, well-groomed ski runs and reliable snow conditions.

TODAY the ski resort has everything from learner slopes to the World Cup runs.

In 1985, construction started on the first snow-making facilities to “produce snow in critical areas”.

TODAY artificial snow making takes place on 100% of the runs. Reiteralm’s snow-making facilities are among the most modern and most effective of their kind.

Also in 1985, optimisation of ski-run grooming started.

TODAY we use the most powerful snowcats with winch technology.

Over the years, we have grown and expanded, modernised and upgraded in positive, healthy steps.

With high-quality offers, forward-looking investments, and best partner cooperation, we confidently look ahead to an ever successful future.
