Reiteralm & Fageralm - two ski mountains with a history and a future

The "Reiteralm Bergbahnen" success story began on March 21, 1971,

when 92 - mostly local - shareholders founded the company.

That same year, on December 21, the first lifts went into operation: the Pichl double chairlift and the Reiteralm II T-bar lift.

This laid the foundation for an impressive development.

The Reiteralm was quick to recognize the importance of quality and further development.

In1985, the first snowmaking system was built - at that time to protect critical areas.

Today, around 40 years later, the Reiteralm can boast one of the most modern and efficient snowmaking systems, with which 100% of the slopes can be covered with artificial snow.

The lifts have also been continuously modernized.

Today, the Reiteralm boasts high-performance gondola and chairlifts that guarantee maximum comfort and efficiency.

At the same time, the range of pistes has grown steadily - with a particular focus on width, snow safety and perfect grooming.

Since the very beginning, slope grooming has been a key quality factor.

Now, modern snow groomers with winch technology ensure the best possible conditions - daily, reliably and at World Cup level.

The Reiteralm is establishing itself as a sporty, ambitious ski mountain,

which inspires not only leisure guests but also international national ski teams.

The Reiteralm has been the official training mountain for the World Cup elite for many years - a clear sign of quality.

A few kilometers further east, the Fageralm offers a completely different winter scene - quieter and more enjoyable.

With its sunny location, wide pistes and magnificent views of the Dachstein massif, the Fageralm is particularly popular with families and leisure skiers.

In December 2025, the Fageralm will open with a new, modern "Fageralmbahn" gondola lift -for even more comfort and an improved skiing experience for the whole family.

Today, the Reiteralm & Fageralm are part of the Schladming-Dachstein vacation region and

integrated into the Ski amadé ski association, which has been one of the largest ski areas in Europe with over 760 kilometers of pistes since it was founded in 2000.

With over five decades of experience, a strong team and the will to develop further, we continue to invest consistently in quality, sustainability and innovation.

Together with our partners, we are actively shaping winter and summer tourism -

and look forward to many more successful years.
